Among the items on the State Board Of Education's agenda, the Ad Hoc Committee on Long-Range Plan for Public Education met on Nov. 20th, and the Committee on Instruction discussed implementation of the mathematics TEKS.
Based on feedback from administrators, classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, and ESC personnel regarding concerns about the implementation of the math TEKS, TASA has shared the following observations and recommendations with SBOE chair Barbara Cargill in response to her request for suggestions.
