Impact Literacy though this FREE Resource for Region 7 Clients

Region 7ESC is so excited to provideAT NO COST TO YOU, TeachingBooks.net for every student, parent, librarian, teacher and staff member in the region.

Learn about this great resource  - Teaching Books.net (http://www.teachingbooks.net/show.cgi?f=esc7 )

You will find a video to play or download, as well as PDF handout to give to your staff.  Please share this link with everyone in your district.
Flyer - TeachingBooks flyer (1-page PDF, 1 MB)
TeachingBooks.net is NOT the same as ebooks.  It’s a site to help teach the books your students are already reading.  Not just fiction, but books in a variety of fields and subjects.
Using the login information on the flyer from the page above, please give it a try.  You can see recorded interviews with authors, find vocabulary lists, book trailers, book guides and a whole lot more.  You can share resources directly with students and parents using QR codes, by sending them links, or printing out ready-made downloadable flyers to send home with students.

PREVIEWS ONLINE AND AT JUNE CONFERENCE
There are training webinars on the site and we have already arranged for Nick Glass, the company founder to provide presentations during Day 2 of this summer’s Curriculum Conference on June 11.  We hope you’ll attend one of his sessions.  Additionally, we’ll be scheduling some virtual sessions for the region and I’ll push those dates & times out via these lists when I have them ready.  We will include TeachingBooks as part of our sessions here too.
Remember, this resource is free to you for this year so please do not hesitate to ask us questions or to contact TeachingBooks directly at the numbers on the link above.  This company is very customer-oriented and are looking forward to serving the districts of our region.
TeachingBooks has your access ready now (see the PDF on the page), and Donna Stanley, from Region 7ESC has requested some technical information from each district's technology director by January 30 so that she can send it to the company to create more personalized sites.

Once they have this information, when your staff goes to the site they’ll be authenticated (in district) and be allowed to create personalized accounts so they can save favorites, etc. She also needs a contact from each district.  A default has been set up to send the info to the curriculum director but if the Superintendent emails an alternate contact, she will provide that one to TeachingBooks instead.
Donna Stanley would welcome your feedback when you’ve logged in and looked around – please send her a few words as you experience TeachingBooks.net, or contact her for any questions about the product.
