How Cool is Your Community Engagement: #IceBucketChallenge?

How cool is the #IceBucketChallenge?  It certainly brought a lot of attention to a needed cause.

Some schools took the challenge and got the students involved.  It makes you wonder, how educators could use this idea on their campus?

If your campus or classroom did something like this to bring attention to an important cause in your community - come share about it at the Un-Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 30th.

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge took YouTube by storm. Celebrities got in on the battle with exotic locations and elaborate water falls; this is an absolutely massive year for charitable giving.

Bill Gates accepts Mark Zuckerberg’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and nominates Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest and Chris Anderson from TED to participate and raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He adds a portion of DESIGN thinking to this video. This is an interesting idea for all learners to share their thinking this way.
